Zephaniah 3:8-9
"Therefore wait for me", declares the Lord. "for the day when I rise up as a Witness. Indeed My decision is to gather nations,to assemble Kingdoms and to pour out on them my indignation, all my burning anger; For all the earth will be devoured by the fire of My Zeal.
"For then I will give to peoples purified lips, that all of them may call on the Name of the Lord, to serve Him shoulder to shoulder from beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My worshipers, my dispersed ones will bring me offerings.
This is a reminder that our Lord is forming a people, who are not mediocre about their faith. As Christian, we need to remember that whenever we feel injustice is prevalent, and society is corrupt, and evil prevail, we should not loose heart. Rather, we must wait on the Lord, and He will transform people with a fire / zeal from Himself. To administer change and to move in close relationship with Him -- shoulder to shoulder. That is where as Christians we need to be. This is how we should serve Him. Amazing how this prophecy was made a few hundred years before Jesus came. Now, we understand what it means to live with the presence of God daily. Now that's what i call shoulder to shoulder.
This is a great text and an awesome reminder to those who seek change, never give up. It is only but a matter of time. Recently, Firstlight had shown the fulfillment of these promises. And I believe there are many more of these answered promises to come.
Indeed, the Lord will gather the nations together. And we desire that this zeal will enable His Gospel to be proclaimed throughout the world.
